Veteran’s Day

PeopleG2 will be closed for the Veteran’s Day holiday, Thursday November 11th.  Please note that all courts and other Federal and State offices are closed.  Our office will open again at 7 AM PST on Friday November 12th.

PeopleG2 would like to thank all the hard working men and women that have served our military and carry the distinguished title of Veteran.  If you know any Veterans in your family, community or workplaces please make sure to thank them.

Thanksgiving Holiday

New California Bill Regulates Offshoring of Background Checks

Recently, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed a bill SB 909 into law.  Essentially this bill requires background check companies to inform consumers if their information will be sent overseas.  What does this mean for PeopleG2 customers?

  1. PeopleG2 NEVER sends information for domestic searches to any company or individual overseas.  For International Searches, notice is already given to your applicants.
  2. PeopleG2 does not offshore any of its work.

Because we do not take part in this practice, which is very common in the largest commodity type background check companies, you will not be impacted.  No changes to your process, release forms or other areas will be necessary.  Additionally, we hope our clients will understand the value of having their searches done by our employees here in the United States.  PeopleG2 believes that having background checks run by firms or individuals overseas is risky and irresponsible.
