For many companies a background check is never complete without a pre-employment drug screening.  This is a more expensive test, but is an important piece for any company that wants to rule out drug use in their work place.  A pre-employment drug screening has several different screening levels which can search for many different kinds of drugs.  However, it is important to keep in mind not only the preference of the company, but also the employment laws of your state.  These can have a great deal of influence on the type of pre-employment drug screening that is performed.

For employment purposes, a pre-employment drug screening is done as a part of the interview process.  The tests can be administered at a drug testing facility that works closely with PeopleG2 to provide fast and accurate results.  If a test is positive, it can take up to 48 hours for results to be returned, but if the test is negative, it will be returned within 24 hours.

For a pre-employment drug screening, the most popular are the 5-panel, 7-panel and 9-panel tests.  The types of drugs that are tested for in each of these tests can be seen on our website.  Each one is more extensive, and will provide a wider breadth of results.  As noted above, before any pre-employment drug screening is conducted, make sure you have a clear understanding with regards to employment laws and drug testing.

At PeopleG2, a pre-employment drug screening can be designed to fit into any screening package developed for a client.  This can be an important piece of a background check.  Our skilled sales managers can assist you in establishing if a pre-employment drug screening is something that is right for you.
